Jones Coffee and Tea Sales Support Pacific Clinics' Wellness Center

Posted by Lauren Jones on

The Pacific Clinics' Wellness Center in Pasadena is one of the many nonprofits that has partnered with Jones Coffee Roasters to raise funds for their programs by selling coffee and tea. In December 2018, 30 staff members from the site sold 123 bags of coffee and tea to their families and friends, raising over $700.

The staff voted on clever, custom names for their coffee and tea blends for the fundraiser, including Java Bean Therapy, Placebo Blend, Clari-tea, and Tranquil-it-tea. With the proceeds, they threw a catered holiday party for their clients, and purchased toys for kids in their children’s program.

Pacific Clinics promotes wellness and health through events such as “Shine On!” (which took place in October) and their upcoming “Create Inspiration: A Celebration of Mental Health Recovery Through the Healing Arts” on May 29. May is National Mental Health Awareness month, and the event will be open for all in the community to attend, participate in healing art activities, take in live performances, and learn about the stigma surrounding mental health and how they can help spread awareness.

Founded in 1926 in Pasadena, Pacific Clinics operates 60 locations and in 280 schools across Southern California to “deliver quality behavioral and mental healthcare services.” With a focus on helping low-income individuals, Pacific Clinics provides supportive care services such as housing, employment assistance, counseling, early education, and substance abuse and mental health treatments for its 20,000 clients. The Pasadena Wellness Center alone serves 620 clients through their childrens, teen and adult programs that are committed to helping individuals achieve healthier, more fulfilling lives.
