Asian American Indie Soul Singer Songwriter, Suzen, is a SoCal native coming in hot to the LA music scene.  Susan's vocals capture vulnerability and emotional storytelling that resonate with the heart in her live performances and music.  A new comer to the game that definitely carries an old soul, Lucas has been defining her sound the last few years as she continues to study her craft in Los Angeles.  Susan has been playing at a variety of top LA music venues and is becoming a regular at The Study and iconic Mint LA which was recently voted top 5 live music venues by LA weekly.  She recently debuted her full band at Peppermint Club in Beverly Hills and gearing up for Hotel Cafe again in June.


Morgan Jones

Every Friday, 10am to noon

Morgan Jones is a resident musician at Jones Coffee South Pasadena. He is a faculty member at the LA College of Music and private piano teacher offering in person and online lessons over Zoom. Morgan started teaching in New York City public schools through the Morse Teaching Artist Fellowship at Juilliard, where he also received a master's degree in music. Jones states, "some of my career highlights as a performer have included playing with Aretha Franklin, recording 'High Hopes' with Panic! at the Disco, and performing on American Idol, the Voice and Glee."

Leah Esther Cordova

Every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month, 9 to 9:45am

Poet and song writer born and raised in Los Angeles, performing both American and Latin pop and jazz inspired covers and original music. Start your Saturday morning right with the lovely soothing sounds of vocals and acoustic guitar from the talented Leah Esther Cordova.

With over 5 years of experience performing at the Jones Coffee South Pasadena, this jazz group is loved by the community and traveling guests. Guest musicians from within and around the South Pasadena community have also participated with the group.

Gold Line Jazz Collective is lead by the talented pianist, Hank Mehren who is well known locally for his incredible musical abilities. This jazz collective expands and contracts throughout the year, integrating local talent from in and around South Pasadena, Pasadena and the greater Los Angeles. The core group consists of piano, guitar, upright bass and drums creating  an uplifting eclectic performance guests are sure to enjoy.

The Otter Story Hour

The Otter Story Hour

Second Sunday of the month from 4 to 5pm starting April 10th, 2022

The Otter Story Hour is an event hosted by and for those who are passionate about a good heartfelt story. The Otter storytellers extract meaning-full experiences from their own lives, find the heart of the scenario, and tell the lived story to the audience. This tender vulnerability of sharing ones heartfelt story and life experience to another not only helps the individual find solace, the stories also help the community as a whole feel nourished, strengthened and enlivened. Produced by Rex McDaniel, strengthening communities through storytelling. 
We are pleased to announce that the next Otter Story Hour is planned for April 10th, 2022, at Jones Coffee Roasters on south Raymond avenue in Pasadena, starting at 4pm. We will continue the series every second Sunday of the month. Tune in to the live streamed event of the Otter Story Hour on the Jones Coffee Instagram or The Otter Story Hour Facebook Page. Outdoor seating available. Guests are recommended to arriver early to reserve seating, full capacity is expected.

Stanley Oropesa

Every Sunday, 12:15 to 1:15pm

Accordion enthusiast, artists and performer Stanley Oropesa, a local Pasadena gentlemen and resident accordion at the Jones Coffee Raymond Avenue. Playing a variety of genres and styles including, classical accordion ( Bach, Chopin, Handel), original compositions, Irish music, ragtime, pop and film scores. Performance is sure to be a fun experience for both friends and family to enjoy.
